Chapter Synopsis
The chapter opens with the protagonist relaxing after an outing, when he learns that his maid, previously disguised, had poison on her dagger. He consumes the poison and later suffers a sudden and dangerous mana expansion. His shadow intervenes by absorbing the excess mana, seemingly at the cost of her own life and she begins to consider their future plans. The protagonist manages to control the expansion, leading to his mana evolving into a second circle, leaving those who witnessed it in disbelief.
