Chapter Synopsis
The chapter opens with a discussion on the Sun Stone and how it might be used to combat the Heart of the End. Chanta gets pulled into the Heart of the End and the Popoi, in their corrupted state, sacrifice themselves to weaken it. Chanta learns that his clothes are protecting him, and is rescued by Palaham, who now questions Chanta's knowledge. He also realizes he's the reason the Heart of the End has grown stronger and is concerned about the Popoi's corrupted state.
