Chapter Synopsis
The chapter opens with the World Tree, or 'Great Mother', revealing she is being devoured by the 'Dariess' and tasks a human to save her. This human, accompanied by a group of companions who criticize his actions, arrives at the Fairy Palace and is received surprisingly well by the fairies. He is revealed to be working on behalf of the World Tree, and intends to meet the Fairy King, while also planning to change the fate of the current king, and prevent a premature death.
