Chapter Synopsis
The chapter opens with the protagonist reassuring his worried sister, Xinyue, before leaving their apartment to explore the city post-meteor shower, acknowledging his need to grow stronger. He discovers the streets have fewer zombies but witnesses their unusual behavior around meteorite energy. Simultaneously, a group of survivors led by a police officer named Xia Ling Ling, tries to manage civilians at the West Door, while receiving updates on zombies being cleared, she also attempts to quell civilian demands to return to their workplaces. The protagonist decides to collect a shard he found and quickly eliminates nearby zombies to avoid them evolving.
